Up to the Amalfi area

Heading north, was going to drive up the mountain at Maratea, decided it was a little too far so headed towards the Autostrade and up to Torre del Greco near the Amalfi and Naples.  Of course to get to the Autostrade we had to go over another mountain pass.  There are no flat roads in Italy outside the Autostrades; and if there was one it would be covered in parked cars and scooters.  

Booked into the motel and went searching for a laundry, finally found a laundry, they wanted the clothes for 4 days.  Pam did some bargaining and we get them back Saturday morning.  What a hassle, not a coin operated laundry ANYWHERE!

After a big week on Sicily we decided to get into the Italian way and went home for a siesta.  Had a little nap and planning our 3 days in this region.  There will be photos.

Another detour....another mountain pass.

From the balcony of our unit - to the east - Vesuvius.

To the west - a hazy Mediterranean with the Isle of Capri.

and south - pine trees.
