Bochum

Off to Bochum this morning.  This is where Carolin has her job and where they will be moving to in a couple of weeks.  Carolin had to lodge some paperwork at the university.  We had a coffee while she was busy.  Had a look around the campus, it is on the only hill in about 1,000 kilometres and has some nice views across the countryside.  We had a good look around Bochum, even went for a walk and had a look at a unit Luke and Carolin are interested in about 10 minutes walk from the city centre.

Decided to call into a castle on the way home to Munster.  Called into Schloss Nordkirchen at about 4pm and the setting was pristine.  Castle was built about 1700 and the grounds are kept in immaculate condition.  It is right next to the associated village and is obviously very popular with all the locals with walkers and cyclists all enjoying the cool afternoon avenues of trees.
Had a quick 41 minute drive home and had a quiet drink before going out to the harbour for tea.  I know any of you who have a map may wonder about the harbour in Munster.  It is on a canal and was big in the old days.  Still called the harbour and serves great food.

Church spire in Bochum.

The rest of these photos are from the castle at Nordkirchen.   (except the one at the end)
You can add your own captions as you see fit!!!

Last photo today - the harbour at Munster - had some Cuban for tea.
